Our client provides a comprehensive range of facilities management from small repair work to managing large-scale facilities and infrastructure networks. We are seeking for a turf operator/ mower to join our team!
Working hours:
6:00 AM- 2:06 PM (Summer, September- May)
6:30AM - 3:00PM (Winter- June- August)
Pay rate: $ 35.26
Key responsibilities:
Ride-On Mower Gardener
- Operate and maintain ride-on mowers and other turf maintenance equipment to cut and manage large turf areas and green spaces.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety checks to ensure machinery is in good working condition.
- Use brushcutters, edgers, and blowers for edging, trimming, and site clean-up.
- Perform general landscaping duties including weeding, pruning, watering, and garden clean-up to maintain a neat and attractive environment.
Turf Renovation & Maintenance Duties
- Carry out mowing (including scalping), dethatching (scarifying), and core aeration to improve turf health and relieve soil compaction.
- Apply fertilisers and soil treatments to promote turf recovery and growth.
- Perform topdressing with sand to improve drainage, fill aeration holes, and prevent future compaction.
- Seed or sprig bare areas to establish new turf growth.
- Manage weed and pest control in accordance with best practices.
- Clear debris and ensure adequate drainage across turf areas.
- Operate turf renovation equipment such as scarifies, corers, and mowers.
- Monitor turf condition and undertake corrective actions to restore turf health and resilience.
Key requirements:
- Previous ride on mowing experience
- Turf renovation experience
- Competency for tractor operation
- Knowledge of fertilization schedules
- Certificate in turf management
